Let me introduce myself. I’m John Mackie, an Alaska hunting and fishing guide. I have lived in the great state of Alaska year round for the last 16 years and love it.

Alaska Fishing Guide

I’ve been a fishing guide in Alaska for the last 16 years. I started Gotta Fish Charters in 1993. I have fished and caught almost every species of fish the great state of Alaska has to offer. (King Salmon, Red Salmon, Chum Salmon, Silver Salmon, Humpy’s, Halibut, Ling Cod, Yellow Eye, Trout, Steelhead, Rainbow Trout, etc….) I spend about 90 days a year on the water. So whatever you would like to catch, I can help make that happen!!!

Alaska Hunting Guide

I’ve been a hunting guide in Alaska for the last 10 years. I have guided or hunted almost every big game animal Alaska has. ( 10foot + Brown Bears, Giant Grizzly Bears, Trophy Dall Sheep, Caribou, 70” plus Bull Moose, Wolfs). I guided the #11 B&C Moose of all time (75 ¼ scored 248 5/8). I spend 40 to 60 days a year in the field guiding. So what ever trophy you would like to hunt, I can help make that happen!!!
